Submitting your logo for embroidery: what you need

File format

A vector file is preferred

Embroidering a logo starts with digitising: we convert your logo into an embroidery file the machine can stitch out, stitch by stitch. The sharper the source file, the more precise that digitising process is.

What works best

  • .ai or .eps โ€” vector file, ideal for digitising
  • .pdf โ€” works well too, preferably with vectors inside
  • .png with a transparent background โ€” fine, as long as it's sharp enough
  • .svg โ€” also a vector format, works well

What's less suitable

  • A logo pulled from a Word document or PowerPoint presentation
  • A photo or screenshot of your logo
  • A low-resolution .jpg, for example taken from your website
  • A logo that's smaller than a couple of centimetres on screen
No vector file?

We'll still work it out together

Only have a lower-resolution file, such as an old logo or one taken from your website? Just send it along with your quote request. We'll always let you know first whether it's suitable, and we'll help think it through if the logo needs to be redrawn first.

How many colours can my logo have? No problem โ€” embroidery works with almost any number of colours. Just bear in mind that very small text or fine detail becomes harder to read in thread at a small size; we'll give you honest advice on that in advance.
Before you approve

You'll see the result before we start

After digitising, we create a digital proof: an exact representation of how your logo will look on the chosen textile, including colours and position. We only start production once you approve it โ€” so you know exactly what you're getting beforehand.
