What does clothing embroidery cost?
One fixed fee, everything else tailored
We deliberately don't have a price list. No two jobs are the same: a compact logo on fifty polos is quite different from a four-colour back print on three hundred jackets. What is always the same is the one-off digitising fee.
The digitising fee for your logo. Paid once, and never again β even for a reorder two years later, as long as the logo stays the same.
What is a digitised logo?
An embroidery machine can't read a logo. Your file is first translated into a stitch file: every line gets a stitch direction, every colour a thread change, and every area a fill that sits neatly in the fabric it's embroidered on.
That craftsmanship determines how your logo will actually look. We create that file in-house, keep it on record, and reuse it for every future order.
What we look at for your order
We calculate the price per piece for each order individually. We don't do this to keep things vague, but because a fair price can only come from knowing exactly what we're looking at.
Your logo
How large, how many colours, how much detail. A clean emblem embroiders faster than a crest with fine lettering β and that difference shows up in the price.
The textile
A thick softshell needs a different approach than a thin polo or a towelling fabric. Do you supply it yourself, or choose from our range?
Quantity and positions
How many pieces, and in how many places on the garment. For larger quantities the price per piece drops, because the fixed time is spread over more items.
What you get with every order
- Personal advice on position, size and thread colours
- A digital proof for approval, before production
- Manual inspection and finishing of every item
- Your digitised logo kept on record for reorders
- One fixed point of contact from first question to last box
We'd rather call than guess
Not sure yet which garment suits you, or torn between embroidery and printing? Feel free to call us. Five minutes on the phone often gets us further than three emails back and forth.
Want to feel the fabrics first? Our showroom at Satellietbaan in Hillegom is open on business days from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM.
A few more things
Do I pay the digitising fee with every order?
No. The digitising fee is a one-off β¬30.00. We keep it on record, so you won't pay that cost again on a reorder β even a year later, as long as the logo stays the same.
Why isn't the calculator price a final price?
Because every order is different. The calculator gives an indication based on averages; the final price depends on your specific logo and textile, and can differ from it by up to around 20%. We always check it carefully before confirming the quote.
Is the clothing included in the price?
Either is possible. You can supply your own textiles and pay only for the embroidery, or choose clothing from our range and get one combined price for the clothing and the embroidery.
What does a second embroidery position cost?
Each extra position is a separate operation: the garment is re-hooped and the machine embroiders a second time. A logo on the chest plus a name on the sleeve therefore costs more than one position alone. We'll break this down separately for you in the quote.
What's the minimum quantity?
You can order from us from 10 pieces up to several thousand. For larger quantities the price per piece drops, because the one-off digitising cost is spread over more items.
