Everything about getting things embroidered
Before you order
What's the minimum order quantity?
You can order from 10 pieces up to several thousand. For larger quantities the price per piece drops, because the one-off costs are spread over more items.
How long does an embroidery order take?
Once you approve the quote and the digital proof, we deliver within 5-10 working days as standard. Got a deadline? Let us know and we'll check what's possible in our schedule.
Can I see the clothing first?
Yes. In our showroom on Satellietbaan in Hillegom you can feel fabrics, try on sizes and compare colours. Open on business days from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM.
Can I reorder later?
Yes. We keep your digitised file, the thread colours and the position on the garment on record. A new employee will therefore get exactly the same result.
Files and digitising
What file format should I send my logo in?
Preferably a vector file: .ai, .eps or .pdf. Only have a .png or .jpg? Feel free to send it, and we'll check if the quality is sufficient.
What is a digitised logo?
An embroidery machine can't read a logo. Your file is therefore translated into a stitch file: every line gets a stitch direction and every colour a thread change. This digitising fee is a one-off €30.00 and stays valid afterwards.
Can every logo be embroidered?
Almost. Fine hairlines, colour gradients and very small lettering don't come out as well in thread as they do on paper. We'll tell you honestly if something won't work, and suggest an adjustment.
What is a digital proof?
An image showing exactly how your logo will look on the chosen textile, in the correct colours and in the correct spot. We only start production once you approve it.
About the embroidery itself
Embroidery or printing: which should I choose?
Embroidery lasts longer and looks more premium on sturdy fabrics such as polos, jackets and caps. For thin sportswear fabrics or large, colourful designs, printing is often better. We do both and will give you honest advice.
How do I wash embroidered clothing?
Just follow the garment's own care label. Embroidery thread can handle normal washing; the garment itself usually wears out before the embroidery does. Read our full care tips here.
Can I supply my own clothing?
Yes. You supply your own textiles and pay only for the embroidery. A surcharge of €2.50 per item applies for self-supplied textiles, and additional terms apply. If you choose from our range, you get one combined price for the clothing and the embroidery.
Can each piece have a different name added?
Yes. Names or numbers that differ per piece are custom work per item, so we price that separately. Send us the list exactly as you want it to appear, and we'll follow it to the letter.
